Facial Aesthetic Treatment of Sequela

Due to increased traffic accidents, the practice of contact sports, and accidental falls, fractures of the facial bones have increased in recent years. Giving the proper treatment, the success rate is very high and healing, although aesthetic effects that may be on the face can be remarkable.

The face, as "mirror of our personality," not only needs a functional repair of wounds and injuries. Facial plastic surgeons will try to restore normality, symmetry and harmony that was before the emergence of the accident / injury.

Those sequels could be:

  • Hair loss (alopecia) after suffering an injury in the scalp, eyelashes or eyebrows.
  • Crooked nose after a nasal fracture.
  • Sinking cheek by cheek bone fracture.
  • Loss of teeth after a hit / fall or accident.
  • Scars "unsightly" and very visible on the face, head or neck.
  • Malformations and scars on the eyelids after a facial blow.

If you think you have any of these possible complications after suffering facial trauma, an appropriately trained facial plastic surgeon may perform different techniques of reconstructive surgery to try to restore normal appearance to the patient.

Many of these techniques can be performed under local anesthesia and sedation, using minimally invasive procedures and shorter recovery.
